I've featured just a couple bedding sets on this page, highlighting some of the styles. You can get a more realistic fantasy style like the blue fairy bedding on the right, a frilly, feminine and bold style with a touch of fairy decoration like the gorgeous Korean style bedding above, as well as more cartoon styles such as the amazing glow in the dark bedding featured at the top of the page.

If you are on a budget, a good way to create a faery themed bed is to pair your existing sheets with a gorgeous fairy blanket, such as this deep purple Night Fairy fleece blanket.

Another budget way to decorate your bed is to pair your existing plain sheets with some awesome decorative fairy pillows. There are loads available in many different styles. Here's one in a cool gothic cartoon style, and here's another in a floral pop-art style. Here's a lovely one in a stunning digital art style that you might like too.

If you are looking for a fun color to paint the walls of your fairy themed wonderland, go wild! Once the walls are painted, there are lots of bits and pieces you can use to decorate all of those bare patches and give them some flair. You can also pick up a cute fairy candle holder if you are into tea lights and scented oil. This stained glass style fairy votive candle holder is also astoundingly beautiful. 

Lastly, you can also find fae and pixie themed figurines and ornaments with light up elements, which won't be bright enough to light the room but will look truly magical. Here's a sweet one of a fairy riding a dragon!

I am a huge Harry Potter fan, and have been since the Sorceror's Stone came out all those years ago. That's why I had to put together a sweet guide to decorating a Harry Potter themed bedroom for all my fellow wizards and muggles out there who loved the books and movies as much as I did. Enjoy!

First things first, every Potter bedroom needs some appropriately themed bedding to form the centerpiece of the display. There are a couple of really cool Harry Potter bedding sets out there, such as the one featured at the top of this page which comes with the gorgeous Hogwarts crest comforter and two pillow shams.

If you like the sort of color pencil art featured on the book covers, then check out this 'In Flight' bedding set, each of which comes with a flat and fitted sheet set as well as a pillow sham.

If you are on a tight budget, a cheap alternative to buying a full bedding set is to buy a Harry Potter blanket throw and match it with your existing sheets. I highly recommend the Gryffindor crest blanket on the right: you can also get a version with the crests of Ravenclaw, Slytherin, and Hufflepuff to, so pick the house you think you would be sorted into!

You can also get a cool Marauder's Map themed blanket and a matching pillow sham to go with it!

Since there are so many color schemes associated with the various houses and families, pretty much any color wall paint can be made to look amazing in a Harry Potter themed bedroom. I'm a particular fan of using some shade of light grey, however. It looks amazing with some of the deep Gryffindor reds and gives the room a very castle-like feel, which is magic!

Don't leave those freshly painted walls bare either. There's lots of fun ways you can decorate your Harry Potter themed dorm room, starting with some cute decals. There's lots of decals featuring quotes from the book, such as the one above, which are a great way to show off your fandom. You can also pick up a giant Harry Potter wall decal or this pack of smaller character and house crest decals.

If you are really looking to emulate the wizarding world, why not hang up some Hogwarts wall banners, and some 'Undesirables' wanted posters? You can also bring the characters from the series right into your bedroom with some of these awesome life-sized stand-up posters.

Last but not least, you'll need some cute decorative accessories to give your bedroom the finishing touch. Hallmark make a lot of beautiful bedroom ornaments that are a wonderful place to start, such as the amazing Gringotts replica above, and this Harry and Voldemort final battle ornament, this Dumbledore and Harry figurine.

If you are a huge fan of teddies and plushies, then you are in luck - you can get loads of Harry Potter creature comforts out there, such as Hedwig, Fluffy, Fawkes the Phoenix, Crookshanks, Scabbers the rat, and the cute Buckbeak teddy featured on the right. Collect all of your favorites and make a big pile of them!

I'm reading Through The Looking Glass at the moment, and it occurred to me that I don't have an Alice in Wonderland themed bedroom guide on this blog yet! Well lets fix that. Its not an easy look to pull of since there isn't a lot of official room gear out there, but its incredibly colorful and unique theme that is a tonne of fun to do. There isn't much in the way of Alice in Wonderland bedding, though with the popularity of the movies, that's changing! Be sure to pick up anything you like quickly though, as they go out of stock fast. I particularly like this colorful number based on the Disney movie, or this cute bedding set.

The other option is to pair your existing sheets with an Alice in Wonderland blanket, such as the amazing stained-glass style blanket above or this crazy color pencil style blanket. You can finish off the look with some Alice in Wonderland themed decorative pillows and cushions like those available here.

Though there is a bedding shortage, there's no shortage of fun ways to decorate your walls. When choosing a color for your walls, feel free to go mad - any color can be made to work, especially the bold and the crazy!

There's also a lot of decals to choose from too, from character decals like the one of the Cheshire Cat above, but my favorites are the decals of quotes from the book and movies, such as the one or the right, this "Its Always Tea Time" decal or this "The Best People are Bonkers" decal. There's also lots of cute Alice in Wonderland posters, such as this beautiful Go Ask Alice poster or this Disney movie poster. For fans of the Tim Burton movie, then be sure to pick up a bold movie poster like this one or this Mad Hatter one.

Finally, fun accessories! Alice in Wonderland figurines are a lot of fun to collect, and you can find all of your favorite Wonderland characters in figurine form: the caterpillar, the Mad Hatter, and the Cheshire Cat. I love the Jim Shore figurine above too - the detail on the mushrooms is really lovely. Careful you eat them, Alice.

If you got the Kess In House blanket for your bed, there's a colorful matching rug you can get here. Every Alice in Wonderland bedroom needs a colorful tea set, and this one is my personal favorite. Jumbo playing cards scattered about the room in a random pattern would also look fantastic.

No bedroom is complete without a giant pile of teddies and plushies on you bed or sofa. There's plenty to choose from to match the Alice theme, such as this cute Cheshire Cat plush doll, Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit, the Queen of Hearts and a plushie of Alice herself.

How to Decorate a Disney's Princess Cinderella Themed Bedroom

I absolutely adore the Disney Princesses - they were a big part of my childhood when I was growing up, and they remain stunning masterpieces of art and animation to this day. Its no surprise that little girls still love Cinderella - she's beautiful, hardworking, and has one of the most stunning ballgowns of all the Disney leading ladies. This post is for every little girl who wants to turn her bedroom into a palace fit for Princess Cinderella. Lets get started!

The bed is the centerpiece of any room, so the first thing you'll need is some colorful Cinderella themed bedding. There a few different styles available, from the deep blue comforter featured above, to a more purple and lilac blended look on the right. The sheets on the right are also a good bet!

For those of you decorating a toddler's bedroom, I recommend this fun sized Cinderella bed set, which comes with everything you need: a mini-comforter, a flat and fitted sheet set, and a dinky little pillowcase. 

If you are on a budget, an easy and cheap way to get the Cinderella style is to buy a beautiful disney blanket like this one and match it with your existing pink, blue or purple sheets.

I'm a big believer that ever bed needs a giant pile of pillows and cushions to jump into, no matter how old you are. If you like a bed with lots of pillows, be sure to check out these cute alternative design pillow cases to add to your sheet set!

There are also lots of fun themed cushions you can add to the mix. The one on the left is really gorgeous and unique, a huggable plush pillow shaped like the Princess herself. Another pretty option for girly-girls who love the color pink is this plush pink heart cushion with Princess and crown decoration. This adorable crown shaped pillow would look very beautiful along side it, I think.

With the bed looking wonderful, lets turn to the walls. The obvious choices for wall colors are light pinks, purples and baby blues, since those are Cinderella's theme colors. Match it with a light colored carpet. Pairing the colors works well - for example you could have a baby blue carpet and lilac walls.

There are also plenty of beautiful wall decorations out there, so don't leave your walls lonely and bare! My personal favorite is the one on the right, a spectacular Princess castle. I think it would look great above a bed or chest of drawers. Decal quotes from the movie are just perfect. 

Cinderella canvas art is also popular, such as this amazing piece. A cheaper but equally fun option is to get some Cinderella posters, like this one.

Finally, every Princess needs to know what time it is so she can make sure she isn't late to the ball - don't forget to pick up a Cinderella wall clock.

If money is no object and you want to go out, I highly recommend looking at the Cinderella Collection of furniture with features absolutely beautiful Princess style chest of drawers, bed frames, bedside tables and so on. Otherwise, there lots of other fun options. For example, if you have the space and your daughter loves doodling or reading books, then you might consider getting a Cinderella themed activity table for her. Own a cube shelf and want some fun matching storage space? These baby blue fabric drawers will go great.

Finally, its time to add the finishing touches to your Disney Princess paradise with some Cinderella themed accessories. There is an insane amount of things to choose from, from figurines, to alarm clocks, to jewellery boxes and pumpkin carriage shaped picture frames. They even made a Cinderella themed wastebasket. Pretty cool!

Since this post would be a novel if I featured them all, I'm just going to mention my favorites. Firsts, there's the sparkling wonder that is the Cinderella EVA crystal lamp, featured on the right. I would have gone nuts if I'd gotten it as a present when I was little! Second, for the girl who has too much jewelry and nowhere to put it, they've made a pumpkin carriage shaped wire jewelry holder just for her.

My top favorite vanity set is the one on the right - the color scheme goes with any little girl's bedroom, and its really pretty looking. The stool is nice and stable, so its very safe, which is an addition bonus.

If feminine and girly isn't your daughter's style, there other cool styles to choose from, so shop around!

If you are decorating a princess or palace themed bedroom, or just want to treat the little girl in your life to something truly special, you can't go wrong with a gorgeous mini bedroom chandelier. These lighting sets are high quality and are sure to make any child feel like royalty.

If the sky is the limit for your budget, you might want to look at the Jubilee range of chandeliers, which are by far my favorites. The image at the top of this page is representative of these high quality and beautiful pieces. They tend to cost between $300 and $700, though some great deals can be found for less than that.

A beautiful net canopy on a little girl's bed is the perfect way to make her feel like an absolute princess. They come in all sorts of colors and styles and there's one to fit any budget. Let's look at the basics of what you need.

If you want to go for a four poster kind of canopy (which look really amazing, so I recommend it!) you'll need a bed with a built in canopy frame to hang it upon. There's loads of styles to choose from, and a few of them even come with their own canopy cover, but my favorite has to be this gorgeous Cinderella's carriage style bed on the right.

You can also get full canopy beds for toddlers at a really good price, such as this one here.

Another great option for those of you looking for a good canopy bed frame is one of these canopy day beds. They're a dream land palace at night, and a comfortable sofa and seating area in the day!

Not only can these save you money on seating, which is really convenient, but they look absolutely wonderful too: really delicate and feminine. I recommend setting them up with some frilly or lacy floral bedding with cute pastel colors like the one in the picture for a truly fairy tale atmosphere.

Four-Poster Canopies

Once you have your bed frame you'll need the finishing touch, the canopy itself. There's lots of different styles available, such as curtain like canopies that can be closed to defend against mosquitoes, to simplistic but beautiful net throws to decorate an elaborate bed frame.

They also come in pretty much every color you can imagine, though pink and white are by far the most common and popular. Pick the one that suits your little girl's bed best and you are good to go!

Stand-Alone Canopies

If you don't want to fork out for a brand new bed and all the trimmings, you can always get a stand alone hanging canopy for your daughter's bedroom. These hang from the ceiling and have the advantage of fitting many bed sizes at once. There are two main styles, circular canopies like the one above, and square canopies that imitate the ones you would get for a four post bed frame.
