Rock 'n' Roll Bedroom Decor Ideas

Rock 'n' Roll Bedroom Decor Ideas
A Rock 'n' Roll themed bedroom is a great theme idea for teens who love music, especially boys. It's unique, stylish, and makes an excellent personality statement that hits you right as you walk into the room. This post will outline the essentials you need to set up your very own Rock 'n' Roll themed bedroom!

Teen Guitar Themed Bedding

The bed is the centerpiece of any bedroom and luckily there's plenty of rock 'n' roll and guitar themed bedding and comforter sets to choose from in funky, traditional, girly, punk and all sorts of different styles. Here are a few of my favorites for you to browse!

Black & White Guitar Rock
N Roll Twin Comforter Set
For older kids and teens, the bright and colorful Rock Music bed-in-a-bag kit by Perfect Home is a great place to start, with a simple but lively design against a bold grey background. Each set comes with a comforter and a pillow sham.

For a more minimalist look, and white, black and gray pieces are the way to go. I've included a few sets on this page that caught my eye, but there are many more out there for you to browse.

The sky is really the limit when it comes to color choice for your walls. A nice silver-grey is probably the best choice, certainly a classic, but reds, navy blues and lots of other styles can be made to work with the right combination of decor.
Once you've picked your color, you'll need to decorate your walls. This is especially easy, since if you are setting up a rock 'n' roll bedroom, chances are you've got plenty of posters and merchandise from your favorite bands and artists to cover your walls with! If not, go out and get some! Rock music magazines usually have a few free ones in them.

The Beatles - Help! LP Rock Clock
Another idea would be to get some rock and roll wall decals to liven up the blank spaces on your walls. There are plenty to choose from in all different sizes and styles. Check them out here!

Another great wall decoration option is LPs and Vinyls. If you have any, you can mounted them on your wall (framed or unframed) for a quick and easy rock and roll feel. In addition, there are a lot of clocks available online made from real LPs of pretty much every rock 'n' roll artist you can think of. You can find all the best LP and Vinyl Rock 'n' Roll Wall Clocks here.

Home Dynamix Area Zone Guitar Rug
Greys and whites (both carpet and laminate flooring) tend to match the rock 'n' roll bedroom decor the best, as well as giving the room a very 'studio apartment' feel. You can also spice up the room with any of a number of rock 'n' roll themed area rugs.

Red Hot Electric Guitar Lamp
Although lampshades that match your bedding are an easy out, you can give your rock 'n' roll bedroom an extra special touch with guitar shaped lamps and desk lights.

These sweet guitar lamps come in all different styles and colors, so you are bound to find one that matches your bedroom decor! You can find all the best rock 'n' roll and guitar themed lamps and lighting here.

That's all folks! I hope you found some great ideas for setting up your very own Rock 'n' Roll style bedroom. If you enjoyed this post and would like to see more, be sure to check out the rest of my blog for all of the best bedroom decor ideas on the net!

  1. Paint colours (specifics) for a rock and roll bedroom? I'm thinking a red to go with a white in my room, but which shade of red???

    1. If you want a darker red, Dulux's Henna Red looks nice and mature, a really bright option would be Benjamin Moore's Ruby Red. You can get samples from most paint retailers (Benjamin Moore definitely does them) so I recommend getting a few and essential sticking a dab of each on the wall to see which you like best before committing to a whole bucket.

  2. Hi... I can to cut and to paint 3d sign decor in polystyrene/styrofoam. If you want i can draw it for you. Look my other artwork in polystyrene here =>
    Bye bye

    1. That's pretty cool! The star shaped ones would look awesome in a R&R bedroom :)
